Garuda Indonesia and Etihad Airways agreed codeshare the flight route service of Jakarta-Perth

Indonesia Aviation. International air services on the Jakarta-Perth route will be served by Garuda Indonesia and Etihad Airways with manner to code share cooperation that has been agreed upon by both the airline. Cooperation code share flights between Etihad Airways and Garuda Indonesia is even easier for passengers of both airlines to access routes from the Middle East and western Europe to Australia and vice versa.

PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk will serve flights from Jakarta to Perth which is a codeshare flight between the Indonesian state-owned airline with Etihad Airways. Flight schedules will be adjusted with flights to and from Abu Dhabi to facilitate access Garuda Indonesia and Etihad Airways passengers from the Middle East and western Europe to Australia and vice versa.

CEO of Etihad Airways, James Hogan, said that cooperation between his party and the Garuda continues to grow and deliver significant benefits to service users both airlines and airline through improved network connectivity and the flexibility of flight schedules between cities. Hogan said the strategic partnership has provided access to Etihad towards six million potential tourists in Indonesia as well as strengthen the commercial cooperation between Indonesia and the Middle East countries, in the oil and gas sector and the mining industry in both regions. Garuda has opened a flight with Etihad network to six destinations from Europe and the Middle East, namely Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Dusseldorf, Munich, and Bahrain began in January 2013.
