North Sulawesi province takes citylink flight network to strengthen the area of air transport, in order to support more advanced developing tourism. "Air transportation in North Sulawesi still need to be added if you want to develop this area into an attractive tourism areas and citylink is one way out," said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aryaduta Group, Jessy Quantero, in Manado, Friday, February 1, 2013.

Jessy said, the lack of air transportation to the city of Manado be one of the obstacles that local tourism is not able to expand as diharapankan. "Limitations of flights to Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado causes flight ticket prices to be very expensive. Obviously not favorable for the development of the tourism sector," said Jessy.

Jessy example, the price of airline tickets from Jakarta to Singapore is still far cheaper than the flight from Jakarta to North Sulawesi, but the distance is not much different. "Tickets are expensive flight is obviously not favorable for tourism, because it is the local government must find a solution, and citylink is one of the best ways that local governments need to be pursued," said Jessy.

Manado city and other areas in North Sulawesi, according to Jessy, is a very strong potential for tourism, natural resources amazingly beautiful. This is definitely a good opportunity, for it is the air transport should be strengthened. Flights to Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado after Batavia Air dwindling stop operation. Currently flight from Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado practically only served four airlines namely Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Sriwijaya Air and Merpati Nusantara Airlines.
