Lion Air to buy 234 Airbus planes

Indonesia Aviation. Lion Air re-make moves to buy 234 units of Airbus aircraft. According to the French President's Office, the purchase of hundreds of aircraft by Lion Air worth U.S. $ 23.8 billion, is the largest in the history of Airbus. Previously, Lion Air has also made purchases 230 units of Boeing aircraft with purchase of U.S. $ 22.4 billion.

An airline from Indonesia, Lion Air, a record by ordering 234 passenger jets from Airbus. It became an exciting news for France. French president's office, Monday, March 18, 2013, said that the agreement with Lion Air worth U.S. $ 23.8 billion, is the largest in the history of Airbus.

Before ordering Airbus aircrafts, Lion Air has purchased 230 units of Boeing 737 aircraft with a value of U.S. $ 22.4 billion in 2011. U.S. President Barack Obama, attended the signing ceremony of cooperation directly between Lion Air and Boeing.

According to observers, the Lion Air's expansion is supported by flight situation of domestic and regional markets. "They see rising demand in the domestic aviation market. When you look at the projected growth in Indonesia, Lion Air needs several hundred aircraft, with a record growth of the aviation market can be maintained," said Brendan Sobie of the Aviation Centre of Asia Pacific in Singapore.
